Sharon S. Baltazar - CISOT
Sharon S. Baltazar holds a BA in Sociology (University of Barcelona, 2021), MA in Public Policy and Human Development, with a double specialisation in Risk & Vulnerability to Global Disasters and in Regional Integration & Multilevel Governance (United Nations University & Maastricht University, 2022). She has research experience in the field of global health disaster management, professional experience within the university education sector and experience in leadership in various representative bodies.
In March 2024 he joined CIEMAT's Socio-technical Research Centre. From that moment, she participates as a pre-doctoral researcher in the VULNERA project, contributing to the study of i) social vulnerability; ii) subjective vulnerability; and iii) the risk of exposure to extreme heat. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on social and subjective vulnerability to heat waves in urban environments, specifically in the cities of Barcelona, Valencia and Zaragoza.
